Assurance to donors
A donation to the Fund is one of the most effective ways you can help improve the healthcare in South Africa. The Fund is registered in South Africa as a non-profit company as well as a public benefit organisation (PBO). Registration means that our accounts are independently audited annually and our directors are legally liable to exercise fiduciary responsibility. Since most of the work of the Fund is done by unpaid volunteers and Board members, and we rely on administrative support from our partner medical university, we incur very little costs in administering the Fund, ensuring that our Scholars receive the maximum benefit of your donation.
